About

Hello, my name is Emily Phamornsuwana.  I have an elementary education teaching license for my bachelor’s.  In 2013, I completed the ESL endorsement at the Illinois Resource Center, for which I received National Louis University credit for those courses.  In the spring of 2018, I decided I wanted to give myself more professional options.  That summer I started a master’s in Curriculum and Instruction with Personalized Options.  My personalized option was technology in education and to combine that with the ESL endorsement.  I will be starting my 9th year in a certified teaching position.  This will be my 4th year teaching Digital Literacy as a special for K-6, I have also taught Kindergarten, and 1st grade twice, and I have also been a Social Emotional Learning/Health specials teacher for K-5 for two years.  Previous to these teaching experiences I was an instructional aide for six years and I have also taught overseas.

My journey through life has been on an educational path and will continue to be.  I am constantly finding ways to increase my knowledge and better my teaching practice.  On this website, I will share my learning as well as examples of my students’ learning.
